Decent Grocery Bag for the price

I decided to try a Grocery Bag to see if it was worth it. I got it for about a third of the regular price, which was a pretty good saving. The contents were mostly vegetables, some slightly past their prime but still perfectly fine for cooking. It wasn't exactly what I would have bought, but for the cost, I can't really complain. It helped cut down on my weekly grocery bill a bit. Pickup was quick enough, just took about five minutes. It's a nice way to save some money if you're flexible with what you get.

Loved my Vegan Surprise Bag!

Seriously, I was so excited to try this app and it did not disappoint! I snagged a Vegan Surprise Bag from a local health food store and it was packed with amazing stuff. Got some fresh produce, a couple of plant-based yogurts, and even a vegan pastry. Everything was perfectly good and I felt great about saving it from going to waste. The pickup was smooth, the staff at the store were super friendly. I'm already planning my next rescue mission. This app is such a brilliant idea!

Bakery Bag was a nice treat

I grabbed a Bakery Bag last week from that cafe downtown, the one near my office. Picked it up after work, super easy. Got a few croissants and some muffins, all still really fresh. It was a good deal, saved me from baking for breakfast. Definitely doing this again, way better than tossing good food.

How do these surprise bags work? Like, can I at least choose if I want sweet or savory, or is it completely random?

M Michelle Thomas 19 hours ago
You can't pick specific items, but the listing will say if it's a 'Bakery Bag' or 'Pizza Bag' so you know the category at least.

Nope, it's totally random! That's part of the fun (and sometimes frustration lol). You just know generally what kind of store it is.

Has anyone compared this to Misfits Market or Imperfect Foods? Wondering which one is better for groceries.

J James Carter 2 weeks ago
They're a bit different. TGTG is more about immediate surplus from local stores, while Misfits/Imperfect Foods are subscription boxes for 'ugly' produce or pantry items. TGTG is more spontaneous.

Yeah, TGTG is for quick pickups of whatever's available that day. The others are more planned grocery deliveries. So depends on what you're looking for.

Hey guys, thinking of trying this out in Boston. What's the typical pickup window like? Gotta plan my workday around it.

H Hannah M. 3 weeks ago
It really depends on the store. Some are evening only, others have morning slots. You see the pickup time before you reserve the bag though.

Yeah, I've had some as early as 7 am for bakeries, and others around 9 pm for restaurants. They're pretty strict about the times usually.

Anyone know if they do any new user discounts? Wanna try it but waiting for a good deal.

M Mary T. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually have something like $2-5 off your first order. Keep an eye out when you first download the app.

I got a free bag offer when I signed up last year. Seems like they often have some kind of intro bonus.

So if I reserve a bag but then something comes up, can I cancel it easily?

A Ashley Lee 3 weeks ago
Yeah, you usually have a decent window to cancel through the app if you catch it early enough before the pickup time starts.

B Brittany Torres 3 weeks ago
I cancelled one once, it was pretty straightforward in the app. Just make sure you do it before the pickup window opens, otherwise you're probably out of luck.
